Hessequa Municipality has joined Project Smart Geyser in collaboration with Plentify to bring HotBot to your home. Project Smart Geyser is funded by major international donors to prove how geysers can help to solve loadshedding. Hessequa is the first municipality after the City of Cape Town to be accepted into this initiative.
HotBot is a smart geyser controller that saves you money on your electricity bill, alerts you to leaks, and gives you intelligent control of your geyser through an app. HotBots also work together to shift electricity demand outside of peak times (when demand for electricity is highest), thereby helping to fight loadshedding.
As part of this initiative, 100 qualifying homes will receive a free HotBot including installation, and 24 months of service, valued at R4,999.
