The nomination period for Hessequa ward committee members closed on Monday, 07 February 2022.
Where only one nomination has been received for a specific geographical area (block) and / or sector, such nominee is deemed to have been elected as a member of the ward committee.
Nominations that did not comply with the terms and requirements as per approved policy of Council have already been rejected and the persons concerned will be notified in writing.
If more than one nomination has been received, a vote will take place in respect of the geographical area (block).

Ward 7: Riversdale Kwanokuthula
14 February 2022 at 18:30 – Riversdale Civic Centre
Ward 5: Heidelberg
15 February 2022 at 18:00 – Duivenhoks Hall, Heidelberg
Ward 9: Heidelberg
15 February 2022 at 18:00 – Heidelberg City Hall
Ward 2: Albertinia (Theronsville)
22 February 2022 at 18:00 – Theronsville Community Hall, Albertinia
Rules during the Election:
Residents who wish to participate in the ward committee elections must be a registered voter in the ward and may only cast one vote in respect of each geographical area (block).
Voters will vote by ballot paper.
In the event of an equality of votes, the chairperson must determine by lot who is to be regarded as elected.
