Update on Outage Affecting Farmer Supplies in Riversdale
Hessequa technicians are currently attending to the following MV lines and sections:
1. Garcia / De Novo area
2. Korentepoort / Sentech / Kragga
3. Windhoek Lines
These areas remain isolated following the outage experienced on Monday, 11 May.
All available resources are currently being concentrated on restoring supply to these affected areas. As a result, response times to secondary and subsequent faults in other areas may be delayed while priority is given to customers who have remained without power since Monday.
Additional resources have been deployed from other towns to assist with restoration efforts and to ensure all customers are returned to supply as soon as possible.
We are also monitoring areas supplied directly by Eskom and remain available to provide assistance where required.
Hessequa Municipality remains in Disaster Recovery mode until all customers have been restored. We sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding, and support shown by all affected customers during this period.
We further extend our appreciation to the farming community for the assistance being provided with equipment and for facilitating access to properties to enable restoration teams to attend to faults safely and efficiently.
