Stats SA will conduct a digital census providing options on how respondents want to be counted through the multi-modal approach to data collection namely; Computer Assisted Personal interview (CAPI), Computer Assisted Web Interview (CAWI) and Computer Assisted Telephonic Interview (CATI).
Respondents are required to register in order to choose the preferred options to either complete the census questionnaire with or without the assistance of a census fieldworker.
