PUBLIC INFORMATION SHARING MEETING
WITSAND SOLAR & DESALINATION PLANT
Notice is hereby given of a Public Information Sharing meeting for all members of the public, interested and affected parties and stakeholders to be held on:
WHEN: Thursday, 23 August 2018
TIME: 18h00 – 19h30
VENUE: Witsand Community Hall, Witsand
The proposed solar/desalination plant will be implemented in terms of the Section 30A Directive issued to the Hessequa Municipality by the Department of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning on 19 June 2017 to address the current emergency situation related to the water supply crisis being experienced in the Municipal Area.
The information sharing meeting will address the following:
The process that is being followed to investigate/assess the impacts of the project.
The regulatory requirements of a Section 30A Directive and how it differs from a ‘standard’ environmental impact assessment process.
The project proposal will be presented in detail.
Specialist findings and recommendations for the activity.
Project programme for implementation.
