COMPUTERISED LEARNERS LICENSE TEST (CLLT)

Hessequa Municipality is excited to announce that the Computerised Learners License Test (CLLT) has now been installed at the Riversdale and Heidelberg Traffic Offices. The CLLT is an initiative of the Road Traffic Management Corporation to digitalise learner’s license tests.

What does the CLLT entail?

It is a computerised programme on which applicants take the learner’s license test on a tablet (no papers and pencils). The application procedure remains the same and the necessary documents are still required.

How does it work?

Applicants arrive on the day of the appointment as normal, with the required documents. Tablets are installed at the respective offices and applicants therefore do not need to provide their own devices.

How does this affect the applicant?

This has no effect on the applicant, the same pass requirements that were applicable still apply, namely: Rules – 22/28, Signs – 23/28, Control – 6/8. Applicants no longer need to wait for the answer sheet / test to be marked as it is automatically evaluated by the application. Therefore, the results will immediately be available as soon as the applicant has finished writing and will automatically be transferred to NATIS.

What documents are required to make an appointment?

ID / valid passport, fully completed application form, proof of address not older than 3 months, R 68.00 and an additional R 33.00 if the applicant passes.

In which languages are the tests written?

The test is offered in all 11 official national languages and the applicant can therefore choose the language of his choice.

What learning materials are applicable?

Applicants are encouraged to visit the www.enatis.gov.za website to download and use the manuals in preparation, but existing learning materials can also still be used.

What questions are asked?

The applicant will have to complete a test of 64 questions from a question bank of 1200 questions. The questions are selected by the system and the applicant has 60 minutes to answer questions that test the applicant’s knowledge of traffic rules, signs and controls.
