Alle aansoeke om munisipale eiendom te huur, wat deur die munisipaliteit ontvang word, moet in die plaaslike koerant geadverteer word in terme van die Munisipale Bate Oordragsregulasies en die Raad se Eiendomsbeleid. Die plasing van die kennisgewing is die eerste stap in die proses indien enige persoon belangstel om munisipale eiendom te huur, Die kennisgewing word geplaas om die gemeenskap van die geleentheid voorsien om kommentaar op die volledige aansoek te lewer.
Die volledige aansoek (aansoek vir die verhuring van Julie se Baai) is by die Stilbaai munisipale kantoor beskikbaar en word inwoners versoek om die nodige navorsing rakende die aansoek in te win.
Alle besware sal op meriete deur die munisipaliteit oorweeg word en inwoners wat beswaar aangeteken het teen die verhuring van Julie se Baai, sal skriftelik in kennis gestel word van die uitkom nadat die munisipaliteit ‘n finale besluit geneem het in hierdie verband. Inwoners wat gekant is teen die verhuring van Julie se Baai moet voor 1 Februarie 2019, hulle skriftelike kommentaar aan die Munisipaliteit rig by info@hessequa.gov.za
Alle aansoeke word in lyn met wetlike voorskrifte deur die Munisipaliteit hanteer.
‘n Volledige verslag sal aan die Raad voorgelê word waarin die potensiële voordele, nadele en risiko’s sowel as die impak van die beoogde ontwikkeling op die plaaslike ekonomie, omgewing, infrastruktuur en werkskeppingsgeleenthede uiteensit.
Munisipale Bestuurder, Johan Jacobs noem: “Dit is belangrik om onder die gemeenskap se aandag te bring dat die Hessequa Munisipaliteit nog geen standpunt ingeneem het t.o.v. Mnr Giacovazzi se aansoek t.o.v. die verhuring van Julie se Baai nie. Die aanvang van enige aansoekproses is om publieke insette in te win en gemeenskap die geleentheid te bied om nie op persepsies te reageer nie, maar wel die volledige aansoek na te vors en hul kommentare op feite te baseer. Die proses stel die munisipaliteit in staat om feitlike inligting na die Raad te neem, waarna die Raad ‘n ingeligte besluit kan neem.”

All applications to lease municipal property, as received by the municipality, must be advertised in the local newspaper in terms of the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations and the Council’s Property Policy. The placing of the public interest notice in the local newspaper is the first step in the application process. The purpose of the notice is to provide the community with the opportunity to comment or raise objections on the lease application.
The detailed application and motivation of Mr Giacovazzi application to lease municipal property is available at the Stilbaai municipal office and residents are urged to acquire the necessary information.
All objections will be considered by the municipality based on merit and residents who objected to the lease of Julie se Baai will be notified in writing of the outcome after the municipality has made a final decision. Residents who are against the lease of Julie se Baai must submit their written comments to the Municipality by 1 February 2019 at email: info@hessequa.gov.za .
A full report will be presented to the Council outlining the potential benefits, disadvantages and risks as well as the impact of the proposed development on the local economy, environment, infrastructure and job creation opportunities.
Municipal Manager, Johan Jacobs mentions: “I would like to bring the attention to the fact that the Hessequa Municipality has not yet adopted a position regarding Mr Giacovazzi’s application, in respect of the rental of Julie se Baai. The first step of any application process is to seek public comment and give the community the opportunity not to respond to perceptions, but to research the application before commenting. This process enables the municipality to compile factual information to be presented to Council, after which the Council can make an informed decision. ”
